A traveling couple’s unique approach to making memories that they can one day show to their future children has gained significant attention online.
The couple had pieced together a series of short clips for their future children from the various destinations they explored while traveling the world. Viewers were able to see the pair look into the camera lens, as they greet their unborn kids with a cheerful, “hi kids,” followed by some footage of the country they are visiting. The montage, which was shared on Instagram on September 5 by @cyberkristine_ has touched the hearts of many viewers online, accruing over 7.6 million views and widespread admiration.
One half of the couple, Kristine, who would prefer to keep her surname private, shared the inspiration behind these viral moments with Newsweek.
“Three years ago, my husband and I were living in a big city, successfully pursuing our dreams and starting to think about settling down and saving up for a house, possibly starting a family,” she told Newsweek. “But we realized that we hadn’t seen the world at all.
“How could we be sure of our choices if we hadn’t been anywhere else?”
With a profound sense of adventure, the couple, who are now temporarily based in Spain, decided to take a leap of faith and embark on traveling the world.

“We dropped everything, took two suitcases, and started our world trip,” she said.
Over the past three years, the couple have lived in 20 countries, spending 3 to 4 months in each to experience more of each nation’s culture. Their journey is not just about traveling but also creating meaningful memories for their future children, who will one day see the world through the eyes of their parents. The idea to record greetings for their future kids emerged organically from their extensive travels.
“We started our blog on TikTok and came up with the idea of recording greetings to our future children, who will have to wait for their parents to see the world,” Kristine said.
Contrary to assumptions from some viewers that the couple come from wealthy backgrounds, Kristine clarified how they manage their nomadic lifestyle.
“Many people think that we were born into rich families and spend a lot of money on traveling, but this is absolutely not the case,” she said.
Kristine and her husband both work remotely, which allows them the flexibility to explore the world while still having an income. Kristine said that they have found this lifestyle more affordable than settling in a single location, particularly when spending time in some Southeast Asian countries.
“For example, we rented a big family house just for the two of us on the island of Sri Lanka for $200 a month, drank coconut juice for 50 cents, and surfed every morning for $2,” she recalled.
Their journey has also led them to establish a new home in Spain, though their wanderlust remains undiminished with plans to visit at least 20 more countries.
“We are grateful for all the support in the comments from people, some of whom decided to do the same and see the world with their partners,” Kristine said. “We hope we can realize our dreams and inspire others to realize theirs!
“And show our future kids the world too one day,” she added.
