Bunnie XO opened up about her journey with weight loss medication during her recent podcast episode, sharing some rather alarming experiences with the popular drug.

In her Dumb Blonde podcast episode that was released on Friday, October 4, 44-year-old Bunnie XO (whose real name is Alyssa DeFord) explained that she had started taking Tirzepatide, a medication that is commonly used to treat type two diabetes and in some cases, for weight loss. The internet personality is one of many celebrities who has been taking medications intended to treat diabetes as a way to lose weight.

Bunnie XO began the segment about the medication by bluntly stating, “By the way guys, I’m on my second day of Trizepatide.” The host goes on to admit, “I was so scared to take it I had nightmares the day before,” reminding her listeners that she had previously “overdosed on Vitamin b12 and Vitamin D.” She explained that the decision to take the medication wasn’t taken lightly, because she “had nothing in [her] body,” and that she had “literally nothing in [her] system,” before taking the drug.

Later in the podcast, the Huston native touched on the fact that she has seen some videos on TikTok that scared her about the drug, with some people claiming that they have had medical complications because of their use of Trizepatide. She went into detail about her use stating, “I’m micro-dosing, I’m not starting out at a normal level,” adding that she’s “so glad” about the choice she made to start small. Even with a small dosage, Bunnie XO (who is also the wife of country singer Jelly Roll) told her listeners that “It kind of sent [her] for a loop last night,” and that she had an upset stomach and felt like she was going to “projectile vomit.” She added that when she woke up after the ordeal, she was “a-pound-and-a-half lighter.”

Jelly Roll and Bunnie XO reportedly met in Las Vegas in 2015, and started dating shortly after. The couple got engaged and married on the same night at a Sin City courthouse on August 31, 2016, after only one year of dating. The couple briefly broke up in 2018 and have stated that the short time apart ultimately helped them build a stronger relationship. Jelly Roll has stated that his wife is “a beacon of change in his life, in an interview with Billboard and that she is his biggest supporter.
