This week saw former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris both campaign alongside big names. Harris received a boost from former President Barack Obama, while Trump took to the stage with tech CEO Elon Musk.
The focus of the campaign remained on the swing states, with Trump returning to the site of his first assassination attempt at Butler, Pennsylvania. Harris was in Arizona on Thursday amid a media blitz, with interviews with The View and 60 Minutes.
Both candidates also attended remembrance events on the one-year anniversary of October 7, the terrorist attack carried out by Hamas against Israel that sparked a long conflict in Gaza.
October 4

Meanwhile, NBA star Magic Johnson took to the stage in Flint, Michigan to help campaign for Harris. The basketball player previously endorsed the Democratic nominee in October.
October 5

Elon Musk has been a vocal supporter of Trump since his endorsement following the Republican nominee’s first assassination attempt. This week marked the first time the two men campaigned together in person.

Trump’s stop at Wisconsin was part of his continued push in the Midwest. Any one of these three states will need to leave Harris’ column in order for Trump to win in November, hence the focus on the Rust Belt as Election Day nears.

Trump previously won Wisconsin in 2016, and retains considerable popularity there. Harris maintains a very small but steady lead in the swing state, at around 1 point according to aggregates this week.
October 7
