TRUMP-VANCE CAMPAIGN

Trump and Vance are promoting increased tariffs, particularly on Chinese imports, to bolster domestic manufacturing and protect American workers. However, critics warn these measures could raise consumer prices.
The campaign seeks to appeal to working-class voters, especially in swing states, by emphasizing economic protectionism and skepticism about climate change policies.
Where Is Donald Trump Today?
Trump is in Pennsylvania, for a town hall in Oaks. The venue is on the outskirts of Philadelphia, giving the Republican nominee access to an audience from the largest city in the state, while still being accessible to the rural voters that supported him in 2016.
Why is Trump going to Pennsylvania?
With 19 Electoral College votes, Pennsylvania is the largest swing state this election, and it was the tipping point in 2020 that gave President Joe Biden over 270 Electoral College votes. This year, the Keystone State is predicted to play a similarly decisive role.
Harris has maintained a fraction of a lead in the polls for the last week, but Trump has made gains in some polls.

HARRIS-WALZ CAMPAIGN
Harris’ campaign is centered on progressive policies like expanding access to healthcare, workers’ rights, and addressing climate change. Harris, as vice president, has emphasized union support and civil rights, promising to pass the Equality Act to protect LGBTQ+ Americans from discrimination.
Her running mate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, complements her platform by focusing on labor rights and environmental issues, particularly appealing to voters in the Midwest. Together, they aim to energize working-class voters while countering conservative economic policies championed by Trump and Vance.
Where is Kamala Harris Today?
Harris is in Pennsylvania today, the same swing state as Trump. Walz is also traveling to Pennsylvania, for a rally in Pittsburgh tomorrow.
Why is Harris going to Pennsylvania?
While Trump is looking to reclaim Pennsylvania, Harris is playing defense. President Joe Biden managed to win the critical blue wall state after Trump’s upset in 2016, but since 2020 the polling in Pennsylvania has been on a razor’s edge.
Harris’ goal there is to maintain the small but so-far steady lead she’s had since replacing Biden as the candidate. Keeping Pennsylvania in the blue column would be a major blow to Trump, who needs to win at least one of the Rust Belt stats to win the election.
