Following Dave Grohl‘s announcement that he fathered a child outside of his marriage, the Foo Fighters frontman has been laying low. As Grohl, 55, has a history of alleged infidelity and marriage dissolutions in the past, fans have been wondering where his relationship with his wife Jordyn Blum stands now — five weeks after the scandal broke in September.
On Thursday, October 17, People reported that Blum, 48, is still not wearing her wedding ring amid the drama — a move that appears to hold some significance.
According to a source, though Blum has “calmed down” since the “initial shock” of the revelation, her marriage to Grohl is still on the rocks.

“Their marriage is still not in great shape,” said the insider, claiming that Blum is “not happy with Dave,” to whom she’s been married for 21 years.
The source also shared that Blum has been spending time with their daughters — Violet, 18, Harper, 15, and Ophelia, 10 — all of whom she shares with Grohl.
“Jordyn’s focused on her girls, their schooling and extracurricular activities,” the insider said.
On September 10, Grohl broke the news via Instagram, writing, “I’ve recently become the father of a new baby daughter, born outside of my marriage. I plan to be a loving and supportive parent to her. I love my wife and my children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness. We’re grateful for your consideration toward all the children involved, as we move forward together.” The mother of the child has not yet been named.
According to previous reports, Grohl had put a divorce attorney on retainer shortly before announcing that he had welcomed a child with another woman. However, the source said that they are unsure if Blum and Grohl will end up divorcing.
Since breaking the news of his paternity, Grohl has not posted on social media. Foo Fighters also cancelled a performance at Soundside Music Festival that was scheduled just days after the revelation.
Blum herself has not commented directly on the matter.
In the past, Grohl — who has been married twice — has been accused of infidelity in his previous marriage to Jennifer Leigh Youngblood and ex-girlfriend Tina Basich. Grohl admitted to multiple acts of infidelity in his marriage to Youngblood, and Basich wrote about Grohl’s alleged infidelity in her 2003 memoir Pretty Good For a Girl.
