A tuxedo cat has tickled the internet with his quirky choice of a resting spot—a toastie machine.
Jeeve’s owner, who posts on social media under the handle @3cats_2moms, shared a hilarious video capturing the moment.
The clip showcased all the potential places their black-and-white feline could rest, yet, to everyone’s amusement, Jeeve chose a sandwich toaster. The video racked up 37,918 likes and 399,000 views on Instagram.
“All these places to lay and he chooses this…,” the text overlay read, highlighting Jeeve’s unusual decision. Despite having options like a cat tree, bed, hammock, and lounging chair, Jeeve clearly had other ideas. “Jeeve has never met a spot to lay that he doesn’t like,” the caption humorously added.

Cats are known for choosing their resting places based on comfort, warmth, and security. According to Blue Cross, cats often seek cozy nooks or elevated surfaces where they feel safe and relaxed.
Whether it’s a bed, blanket, or even a kitchen appliance, they are drawn to spots that provide a sense of security and warmth.
Catster also notes that cats often sleep in unusual spots for several reasons, many of which are tied to their health, comfort, or external environment.
For example, cats might seek out warmer or cooler places based on seasonal changes, or they may choose hidden spots to feel safe or secure, avoiding disturbances from their human companions.
Some common reasons for these changes include a desire for privacy, reactions to pain from chronic conditions like arthritis, stress from changes in the household, or even a response to illness.
Though Jeeve seemed to be extremely content in his spot on top of the mini grill and cat lovers couldn’t get enough of his latest snoozing spot.

Many viewers found the toaster machine choice all too relatable. “Panini him,” one user joked, adding to the playful commentary.
“Let me guess, he is a burnt orange cat,” quipped another, poking fun at the belief that orange cats are notorious for their bold and strange behavior.
One cat owner shared their own experience with feline bed preferences: “We’ve stopped buying beds for our cat as she just doesn’t even try them out. She does however enjoy sleeping on my $230 psych textbook.”
The humor didn’t stop there. Another viewer remarked, “I mean loaf belongs in sandwich maker so,” rounding out the reactions with a perfect punchline.
