Woman Who Infiltrated Football Field With MAGA Sign Speaks Out

A Trump supporter who made headlines after running through a football field with a MAGA sign during an NFL game in Pennsylvania has identified herself and discussed her reasons behind the stunt.

On Sunday, Donald Trump attended a game between the Pittsburgh Steelers and New York Jets while campaigning in the crucial swing state.

During the game, a woman dressed in Steelers colors ran onto the field holding a sign that read, “Trump, secure border. Kamala open border.” Clips of the incident widely circulated across social media showed her being intercepted by security guards and escorted away. The Daily Mail reported that it’s common for people trespassing on sports fields to be arrested.

Later that night, online content creator Steven Steele shared a video on his account on X, formerly Twitter, showing him interacting with the woman, along with the comment, “BREAKING: We broke Claudia Rose (the woman that ran across the field during the Steelers/Jets game waving with a Trump sign over her head) out of jail.”

Newsweek has contacted Pittsburgh police department via email to verify whether the woman in question was taken to jail, and attempted to contact Rose via an Instagram account that appears to belong to her.

In the video, Steele expressed admiration that Rose had managed to run almost the whole length of the field in heels.

“I don’t go to the gym, why work for it when you can pay for it? You know how I did it? With red, white, and blue bleeding through my blood baby, bleeding through my veins, that’s what got me that far,” she said.

Noting that Monday was the last day for people in Pennsylvania to register to vote, she said, “We need to save this country.”

“We are going to be one of the deciding states, I don’t care if you like the guy, I don’t care if you hate the guy, how was your life in 2016 versus how is it now? Stop voting with your feelings and vote with your brain,” she added.

Rose told viewers they should, “Vote for yourself, vote for your family, your children, vote for your bank accounts, your groceries, your rights, your freedom. Who cares if he says something offensive? Vote for your freedom.”

When contacted for comment, Steele told Newsweek via email, “I’m the Marketing & Communications Director for Maga Memecoin, a popular Trump themed charity driven cryptocurrency. I had met Claudia earlier yesterday at a tailgating event I was throwing with Antonio Brown & Le’Veon Bell. I found Claudia to be quite animated and unintentionally hilarious.”

It’s not the first time Rose has caused a stir on social media with her pro-Trump stunts.

A viral video which circulated on October 17 showed rapper Forgiato Blow talking to a poll worker in Fulton County, Georgia, about whether people with tattoos that represent political candidates would be allowed in to vote. The worker said they would need to be covered per Georgia law, which states that people cannot “distribute or display any campaign material” within 150 feet of a building with a polling place, according to PolitiFact.

The clip then cuts to Rose appearing to get “MAGA” tattooed on her face before returning to vote.

Rose showed the tattoo again in the clip shared by Steele, telling viewers it was real.

While campaigning in the state on Sunday, Trump was filmed in a McDonald’s, where he manned the fryer and served people in a drive-thru.

Pennsylvania will be crucial in the upcoming election. As of Monday, Trump was leading according to polling aggregator FiveThirtyEight, but only by 0.3 points — well below the margin of error of most polls.
