Jason Kelce’s Dad Sends Buffalo Wild Wings Request Amid Son’s New Gig

Jason Kelce’s dad has sent Buffalo Wild Wings a request amid his son’s new gig with the restaurant.

Jason Kelce announced his retirement from the Philadelphia Eagles in March after 13 seasons with the NFL team. Currently, he co-hosts his New Heights podcast with brother Travis Kelce and recently revealed his collaboration with the chicken wing joint. The dad of three—who shares daughters Wyatt, Elliotte and Bennett with wife Kylie Kelce—teamed up with Buffalo Wild Wings to promote “Kelce’s Picks” menu items, which include a triple bacon cheeseburger and wings in a new buffalo bacon sauce.

Ed Kelce shared an Instagram photo on Sunday of a cardboard cutout of Jason Kelce holding a chicken wing and a beer. “Let’s go sports bar,” the cutout read.

“Bubba got a new gig. Yum! #bwwings,” he captioned the shot. In the replies, he sent Buffalo Wild Wings a message: “#bwwings bring back garlic mushrooms.”

Newsweek reached out to Buffalo Wild Wings via email for comment.

In a statement shared from Buffalo Wild Wings’ parent company Inspire Brands, Jason Kelce said: “After retirement, I found myself looking for the next best spot to catch all the action. As a longtime fan, I am amped to show fans why Buffalo Wild Wings is the place for football. It has the best wings and sauces, wall-to-wall TVs and plenty of beer options on draft. Plus, my menu picks upgrade any football occasion.”

Jason Kelce starred in a Buffalo Wild Wings commercial where he told the company’s mascot Hank he “messed up” walking away from football.

“Say less, I got you,” Hank said, as he took Jason Kelce to a Buffalo Wild Wings. “Jason Daniel Kelce, welcome back to football,” he added.

Looking confused, Hank said to the former center that football fans can watch “all the games while stuffing your face with, like, the greatest wings and all the beer.”

In the comments of Ed Kelce’s post, fans both praised the famous dad as well as Jason Kelce’s acting skills.

“Love the truly authentic men y’all raised! Makes what they promote, believable,” Instagram user @jessmohogan posted.

“Everyone deserves a hype man like you @papakelce,” @dana_johann wrote.

“Just had some bww [Buffalo Wild Wings] last night after seeing his commercial.. it cracked me up,” @elysse424 added, as @tobiaspriscilla commented: “Loved the commercial! Jason is a natural!!!”

Both Jason Kelce and Travis Kelce are expanding their careers beyond football. Travis Kelce—who is dating superstar Taylor Swift—is set to host Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader? spinoff Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity? next month.

The Kansas City Chiefs tight end also appeared in Grotesquerie; is in talks to star in the action comedy Loose Cannons; and has a role in Adam Sandler’s upcoming Happy Gilmore sequel.

Travis Kelce even showed off his acting chops while performing on Swift’s Eras Tour in London in June. The brothers recently landed a $100 million podcast deal too and launched their own cereal mix with General Mills.
