A golden doodle named Remy has left the internet in stitches after a video of him getting told off for trashing his owner’s living room went viral on social media.
The hilarious clip, shared on TikTok in June, under the username @remythegoldendood1215, shows Remy sitting on his doggy bed, surrounded by shredded paper, looking down in regret as his mom tells him off.
“Remy, what happened? Someone left out the paper towels and you decided to have fun with them, right? I thought we’d discussed we weren’t going to do this type of fun anymore,” she can be heard saying.
“Are you going to help me clean it up? Come here buddy. I’m not mad, because you’re too cute to be mad at!”
The post comes with a caption that says: “Another day, another roll of paper towels gone. Who left them out ?!”

While chewing is normal behavior for dogs, it can escalate if not corrected in time, becoming a nuisance for the owner.
Dogs may exhibit destructive behaviors for many reasons, including fear, social isolation, separation anxiety, physical pains, and attention seeking, among others, but whatever the cause is, it most likely can be addressed.
Experts at Small Door Veterinary argue that even when your dog has destroyed your living room, like Remy in the clip, punishment should be avoided entirely, because it only fosters anxiety and makes the underlying emotional issues worse.
“Generally, treatment involves instituting a new training strategy and modifying daily routines to change whatever conditions encourage the unwanted behavior,” the website added.
The video quickly went viral on social media, getting viewers from across TikTok. It has so far received over 2 million views and 123,000 likes on the platform.
One user, Vickie11, commented: “Oh my gosh, my doodle loves paper towels or a piece of paper. I have to make sure I don’t leave anything around because she will shred it to 1,000 pieces and she won’t eat it though.”
Tami Norris Pottenge wrote: “I’ve seen this before with my wheaten terrier. The dog was just casually walking through the kitchen when the paper towels flew off the holder and attacked him and then spontaneously EXLODED!”
Veronica added: “He just wants you to know this is some of his finest work and he’ll do it again.”
