A benefit concert for victims of wildfires was held in California.
The concert raised more than $100 million, and featured major music stars.
Where has the money gone?
California wildfire victims wonder where $100M has gone following FireAid concert
The stars-studded concert that raised over $100 million dollars to help wildfire victims in California has been criticized for the way it was spent.
David Howard, a Pacific Palisades resident who lost his two homes, said, “I’ve not seen any benefits from the FireAid funds, and neither have I or my neighbors.”
FireAid was billed as a “benefit concert” for wildfire victims. The five-hour show included stories of victims who lost their homes in the Altadena fire and Palisades Fire.
Mark Jones, a victim of the Altadena Fire, told the audience: “My home is gone.” Jones said that six months later he had expected help from someone, but it never came. Do you think Jones believed he’d receive money? “I was sure that most Altadenians did. We received the fire aid. We figured out where the money was. “Where is the money going?”
Donald Trump spoke out about FireAid on Truth Social.
Trump called it “a total disaster” and stated that “It looks like another scam inspired by Democrats.” 100 MILLION DOES NOT EXIST.”
“FIREAID”, IS A DISASTER. LOOKS LIKE A DEMOCRAT-INSPIRED SCAM. MISSING IS 100 MILLION DOLLAR. WAS SUPPOSED TO TO GO TO THE LOS ANGELES FIRE VICTIMS, FIRES THAT, WITH PROPER MANAGEMENT, WOULD NEVER HAVE EVEN HAPPENED. GOVERNOR NEWSCUM RESISTED RELEASE OF BILLIONS OF GALLONS WATER FROM NORTHERN CALIFORNIA AND THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST. WHAT A DIFFERENCE THAT WOULD HAVE Made! I OVERROD HIM AND IT IS NOW RELEASED. The CITY WAS YEARS LATE IN APPROVING ALL FEDERAL HOUSE PERMITS. Get the approvals of the fire victims to rebuild, and do it now!
