Tomorrow, at 10:00 AM EST, the Press Briefing Room will host a press conference on Crime and “Beautification”. It will focus on ending Crime, Murder, and Death, as well as the Cleanliness and General Physical Renovation and Conditions of our once beautiful and maintained Capital. We will not allow anyone to spend $3.1 billion dollars on a building like the Federal Reserve. It could have been done much more elegantly and in a timely manner for between $50 and $100 million dollars. We would have been able to save $3 Billion, traffic jams and endless construction. Muriel Bowser is a good mayor who has tried. But she has had many chances and crime numbers continue to rise. The city also becomes dirtier and less appealing. The American Public will not tolerate it anymore. I will look after our beloved Capital and make it great again, just as I did with the Border where there were ZERO illegals last month from millions a year ago. On August 9th and 10, the Trump administration sent 450 federal officers to Washington, D.C.
As part of President Donald Trump’s push for public safety in Washington, D.C.’s capital, the Trump administration has deployed hundreds of federal officers to target crime.
On August 9 and 10, the White House announced that 450 officers from various federal agencies deployed to high-traffic areas in Washington, D.C. and other hotspots. These officers come from 18 agencies including the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), and the Secret Service.
Trump increased the law enforcement presence in D.C., on August 8, after complaining about crime. This was despite violent crime decreasing. According to D.C. Metropolitan Police data, violent crime in D.C. declined by 35% by 2024.
