Step Inside Disney-Themed House That’s Up for Sale: ‘Dreams Will Come True’

A three-bedroom house boasting a jaw-dropping Disney-themed interior is up for sale.

The spacious semi-detached property on Clifton Park Road in Rhyl, a town in Wales in the U.K., is currently on the market for £179,950 ($237,000) through Elwy Estates.

It comes complete with a fitted kitchen, double glazing and a garden, complete with a shed and garage for extra storage. It’s also a short walk from the center of town with good public transport links.

As the listing on the U.K. property website Zoopla stresses, a viewing of the property is “highly recommended” for reasons that become clear once you take a look at the photos of the interior.

This is no ordinary house, but rather the soon-to-be-former residence of at least one very big Disney fan. That much is evident from the fact that each and every room in the house has been decorated with Disney very much in mind.

Highlights include a living room with paintings of the main characters from Disney’s 1992 smash hit animated film Aladdin decorating the walls and a decidedly green-tinged Maleficent-inspired office space.

Sam Catterson, a sales and lettings executive with Elwy Estates, told Newsweek: “The property is priced to sell and will appeal to a wide variety of people, whether it be ‘Disney fans’ or those just looking for a new family home in a highly sought after area of Rhyl.

“We are excited by all the attention the property has received and we look forward to introducing the new vendor to this unique property where we hope ‘dreams will come true.'”

Familiar Disney movie catchphrases adorn the cupboards in the kitchen, while there’s a pink princess theme to the hallway leading up to the stairs, and one of the bedrooms features a few nods to one of the company’s relatively recent movies, Lilo & Stitch.

It’s clear that whoever currently resides there is an avid fan of all things Disney, with toys, figurines and even a picture of Walt Disney himself visible in the photos featured on the Zoopla website.

While being a fan of Disney would definitely be a bonus for anyone looking to purchase the house, the real estate agents behind the listing are keen to highlight the wider benefits of the property.

“It goes without saying that this property would make the perfect home for a Disney fan with its spectacular murals showcasing a whole new world,” Daniel Copley, a consumer expert at Zoopla, told Newsweek. “Aside from this, the property is conveniently located near the local leisure center and schools, while Rhyl’s beautiful beaches are also within walking distance.”

While based in the U.K. rather than the U.S., the property serves as a reminder of the emergence of so-called “Disney adults” in recent times.

Walt Disney might have started out as an animation studio primarily focused on providing entertainment for children, but that status has undoubtedly changed in the decades since. Part of that change has come about as a result of the evolution of Disney from a company that primarily produced cartoons to that of an ever-evolving entertainment conglomerate.

The past few years have seen many “Disney adults” emerge, a term describing an avid grown up fan and consumer of Disney characters, merchandise, theme parks and other content.

Disney adults have regularly popped up on social media, whether it be videos of them meeting their heroes or instances of them becoming emotional during these encounters. Though some have been critical of the concept, it’s not showing any signs of going away anytime soon.

In January 2024, a survey conducted by the New Statesman of 1,300 self-identified Disney adults found 71 percent were aged between 25 and 44, while 91 percent expected to remain a “Disney adult” for the rest of their lives.
