Federal agents raided the Brooklyn home of Ingrid Lewis-Martin, Mayor Eric Adams’ chief advisor, as part of an ongoing federal investigation into corruption allegations.
Investigators from the Southern District of New York executed the raid early Friday morning at Lewis-Martin’s residence on Troy Avenue. The federal agents seized electronic devices from the home, according to sources, while Lewis-Martin was returning from a two-week trip to Japan.
As soon as she landed at John F. Kennedy International Airport, she was served a subpoena and had her phones confiscated by authorities.
The raid marks the latest development in a probe that has already implicated key figures within the Adams administration and led to the mayor’s indictment on bribery and campaign finance charges. Adams was formally arraigned in court on Friday.
This is a developing news story and will be updated with additional information.
