The appearance from Jennifer Lopez follows remarks made by comedian and podcaster Tony Hinchcliffe at a Trump rally at Madison Square Garden in New York, where he described Puerto Rico as a “floating island of garbage.”
Backlash to the remarks was swift, with Puerto Rican celebrities, including Jennifer Lopez, Ricky Martin and Bad Bunny, condemning Hinchcliffe, and throwing their support behind Harris.
Lopez shared her support for Harris on social media, sharing a clip of Harris where the vice president outlined her support and agenda for Puerto Rico.
The singer shared this clip with four emojis, a Puerto Rican flag, a voting symbol, a check mark and a clip.
One user was quick to respond to Lopez’ endorsement, writing in a top-liked comment “Do u know how badly you have to f*** up to make J Lo political?”

Nevada is a key battleground state for Harris. She is likely to emphasize the closing message of her campaign, highlighting the difference between herself and Trump.
