Actress Jodie Turner-Smith has said she is “over men” one year after filing for divorce from Joshua Jackson.
The star, currently appearing as the Dragon Lady in Bad Monkey on Apple TV+, confirmed she isn’t dating while addressing Jackson’s new romance with Star Wars and Black Panther actress Lupita Nyong’o, 41.
The 38-year-old, who shares daughter Juno, four, with the 46-year-old Dawson’s Creek star, said her ex “can do whatever he wants.”
Speaking to Glamour‘s Women of the Year issue, Turner-Smith got candid about life after her split, including raising their child together.

The subject of the opposite sex came up when the Queen & Slim star gushed about actor Steve Sanghyun Noh, after watching him in another Apple TV+ series, Pachinko.
“Honestly, I think I love him,” she quipped, before correcting herself: “I’m actually not dating, I’m over men.”
Turner-Smith and Jackson started dating in 2018, with pictures soon appearing on her Instagram to which she states: “I grew up posting my whole life.” They married in August 2019 and welcomed their daughter the following April. However, Turner-Smith cited “irreconcilable differences” when they went their separate ways in 2023.
He has since moved on with fellow actor Nyong’o, who won 2014’s Best Supporting Actress Oscar for her role in 12 Years a Slave, and the pair were spotted holding hands two months after the separation.
Reflecting on the news, Turner-Smith continues: “He can do whatever he wants. Just be good to Juno and be good to Juno’s mum, because I’m going to be Juno’s mum forever.
“It’s really not for me to have an opinion on his journey.”
She first broke her silence in June, telling The Cut she was trying to get to the “level” of friendly exes Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin.
Turner-Smith said at the time: “Good for them. We need happiness in order to peacefully co-parent.
“I truly hope they’re happy and that it benefits us as a family.”
Meanwhile, in her latest chat, she said she and Jackson were going through an “adjustment period” in terms of co-parenting.
She added: “You’re used to being with your child all the time. But nobody hands you a manual. Everyone’s trying to figure it out. Each parent has a different life, and especially if the reason why you’re splitting up is because you have different lives, it’s only further complicated by how you’re going to co-parent.”
Newsweek has contacted representatives for Jodie Turner-Smith, Joshua Jackson and Lupita Nyong’o for further comment.
