In a podcast episode with comedian Tom Segura, Joe Rogan ridiculed former President Donald Trump and said that Vice President Kamala Harris is “nailing it.”
In a two-and-a-half-hour episode, Rogan, 57, spoke with Segura, 45, the day after the presidential debate—before the attempted assassination of Trump—about the two presidential candidates and voiced his support for Harris, praising her campaign team.
He said that “whoever is helping her, whoever’s coaching her, whoever’s the puppet master running the strings,” they were doing an “amazing job.”
Rogan, whose podcast The Joe Rogan Experience is among the most popular in the world, went on to say, “She’s nailing it. She nailed that one speech that’s like ‘say it to my face.'”

Newsweek reached out to Rogan’s publicist via email and Segura via a form on his website for comment.
In the September 11 episode of the podcast, Segura and Rogan then discussed the particulars of the debate, and Rogan said that he believed the difference in the debate was not “who’s going to have better policies” or “who’s going to be better for the country,” but it was down to which candidate was better prepared for the debate stage.
Rogan said that Harris was way better prepared and that when it came to answering tough questions, she answered by “saying things she believed, and they sounded real good” rather than answering the questions, and Segura commented that this is Harris being a “savvy politician.”
The podcaster said that this skill was also proof that Harris was working with a team, in comparison to Trump, who he intimated did not prepare or work with a team.
Rogan and Segura joked that Trump’s team likely tried to warn him not to say “people are eating cats and dogs,” and made fun of the portion of the debate in which Trump referred to a since disproven rumor about Haitian illegal immigrants in Springfield, Ohio, stealing and eating pets. The claims have added to the debate over immigration policy, which is consistently among the top issues for U.S. voters.
The podcaster and Segura then went on to discuss public perception of Harris, the race to the presidency, immigration, misinformation, and more.
Despite his vocal support of Harris in this interview, Rogan has said that he has not endorsed the vice president. He said MSNBC edited a video of his to make it appear as though he supported her, as Newsweek previously reported.
Newsweek also reached out to Harris’ campaign and Trump’s campaign for comment via email.
Rogan, a UFC color commentator and comedian, hosted Segura on his show the Joe Rogan Experience, which he launched in 2009 to discuss current events, philosophy, martial arts, and more.
The podcaster is most known for being a strong proponent of freedom of speech and has caused controversy for his comments on COVID-19 and the transgender community, as Newsweek previously reported.
