The X/Twitter account @BBGreatMoments made a post asking the simple question: “Who’s the nicest MLB player you ever met?”
The replies were filled with feel-good stories that dive deeper into the personalities of our favorite athletes than most have ever seen.
Influencer Gabb Goudy shared her story of the time she met Jose Ramirez at one of the 2023 MLB All-Star Weekend events.

“Jose Ramirez,” Goudy posted in response to the question. “(I) was standing beside his table to interview him at MLB All Star (Weekend) and men kept cutting in front of me/shoving me out of way. He (Ramirez) looked at the guys and said you don’t do that to people and told them to move because I was next.”
“A true gentleman,” Goudy posted.
It’s easy to imagine this kind of behavior from Ramirez. A simple Google search of his name and you will find pictures of him smiling or other stories similar to this one.
It’s hard enough for women to make their way in the world of sports and sports media, which is largely dominated by their male counterparts.
Ramirez is truly one of the nicest, happiest and most fun to watch players in the league. He wears his emotions on his sleeve and it’s truly awe-inspiring to be introduced to the personality behind the All-Star.
Just about everybody in baseball loves Ramirez and it’s easy to tell why.
Well, except for Tim Anderson. Anderson has all the reason in the world to hate Ramirez.
