Multiple NFL Stars Take Shots at Michigan Football While Being Blown Out By Texas
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

One of the biggest games on the college football schedule this weekend was the Texas Longhorns traveling to Ann Arbor for a matchup with the Michigan Wolverines. Many expected this to be one of the best games of the season, considering the two teams were ranked in the top 10.

But Texas had other ideas and entered the home of the reigning national champions with a blowout in mind. For this week, The Big House must have referred to the old saying, “Everything is bigger in Texas”.

With the Wolverines being dominated at home, a few NFL players decided to chime in.

Former Ohio State wide receiver Garrett Willson took to social media to let his feelings be known. Same with former Texas running back Bijan Robinson, supporting his alma mater.

Garrett, being a direct rival of Michigan, didn’t hold back. It’s clear that even with him being in the NFL, the bad blood between the Wolverines and Buckeyes is still there.

“Michigan ass 😂😂😂😂”

Robinson was proud of his former team, praising them for their performance.

“We’re witnessing a team that is the future of college football🤘🏽 them Ⓜ️ boys done ran outta gas before it started.😁🤷🏽‍♂️”

Not many expected Texas to dominate the way that they have against the Wolverines, especially in Ann Arbor. Michigan clearly isn’t the same team that they were a year ago when they won the College Football Playoff.

Texas, on the other hand, seems ready to dominate this football season. They have continued where they left off from last season, ready to put their loss in the College Football Playoff in the past.

The Longhorns didn’t at halftime, jumping ahead of the Wolverines by a score of 31-6 late in the third quarter. Michigan’s defense got gassed from the opening kickoff and Texas seemingly could do whatever they wanted.

Michigan looked a little shaky last week against Fresno State but many waved it off as first-game jitters. They have a new head coach, with Jim Harbaugh heading back to the NFL but this performance at home has been abysmal.

The Wolverines will need to turn things around quickly if they want any hope of righting the ship. They host Arkansas State next weekend before welcoming the upstart USC Trojans to town for their first Big 10 action of the season.
