Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love had to be pulled from Sunday’s game after he fell to the turf with a concerning injury. Love was bumped by a Jacksonville Jaguars defender, and he almost immediately fell to the ground in pain.

After heading to the sideline, Malik Willis would come into the game to relieve Love for the rest of the matchup. The Packers still pulled off a 30-27 win, securing their sixth win of the season.
After the game, Packers head coach Matt LaFleur voiced concern over Love’s injury, which eluded to the fact that the quarterback had potentially suffered something significant to his groin area.
After further tests, though, Love has apparently only suffered a pulled groin.
According to Tom Pelissero, “An MRI confirmed optimism about Jordan Love’s status: He’ll be day to day and has a shot to play Sunday.”
Love falling to the turf after the shove looked as though he suffered something rather significant. But that is not the case. Interestingly, the quarterback had entered the blue medical tent earlier in the game, but left and rejoined his team.

Love might have been checked at the time for his groin injury, but was given the ok to attempt to work through it. This is just speculation, but it appears whatever the groin issue he was having might have been an injury he entered Sunday’s game with.
There is still optimism that Love can play on Sunday when the Packers take on the Detroit Lions. In such an important divisional matchup, the team will want to make sure their starting quarterback is healthy and available.
Love might also force himself to play through his groin considering the magnitude of the matchup on Sunday. However, the Packers’ training staff should step in if he is not fully healthy. A reaggravated groin could sideline him for multiple weeks.
Willis played just fine in his limited playing time. He threw for 56 yards and one touchdown when he stepped in for Love. If the Packers have to rely on Willis, he is sure to give them a good shot at winning.
The NFC North is stacked with winning teams, and the Packers need to separate themselves if they are going to challenge the rest of the division for a playoff spot. This is especially true considering the Lions are 6-1 and in first place. A loss to the Packers would drop them to 6-2, while Green Bay would take first place with a 7-2 record.
