Las Vegas Raiders star wide receiver Davante Adams is heading towards being traded, as he requested one this week. After the Raiders head coach liked a social media post indicating Adams played his “last snap” as a Raider, the receiver joined “The Kay Adams Show” to reveal that he hadn’t spoken to anyone in the organization after that.

Instead of waiting for answers, Adams revealed he “preferred” to just be traded, and it was reported that the Raiders were looking for a package that included a second-round pick to trade the All-Pro pass catcher.
Adams revealed that he would want to be traded to the New York Jets to reunite with Aaron Rodgers, which wasn’t big news to anyone in the NFL world. However, he also stated he would be open to “other” teams.
One of those “other” teams might have just been revealed by Adams himself. The receiver took to Instagram to post a simple picture that may have revealed where he is heading.
A screenshot of Adams’ story posted by NFL insider Mike Garafolo showcases an image of famed poet and writer, Edgar Allen Poe.
To the uninitiated, this is just a post of a famed writer. However, everyone can connect the dots to determine that Poe is tied to the Baltimore Ravens. The mascot for the team is named “Poe.” Poe also wrote the world-famous poem, “The Raven.”
Adams has basically hinted that he is joining the Ravens, or he is putting his faith into the fact that he wants to play alongside reigning MVP, Lamar Jackson.

The biggest issue with trading for Adams right now is his contract. The speedy receiver is owed a little over $16 million right now based on his 2024-year contract payout that is pro-rated.
According to Pro Football Talk, “His [Adams] salary is $16.89 million. It works out to $938,333 per week. If a team trades for him now, the cap charge for his salary will be 14/18ths — $13.13 million. Each week, it will drop by another $938,333.”
Whatever team is set to trade for Adams might want to wait a couple more weeks to ensure they can afford to take him on. However, there can be some moves made with contract restructures and cutting players for a team to bring Adams into the fold.
Interestingly, the Ravens are near the bottom of the league in available cap space. According to overthecap.com, they currently have $4.48 million available. However, the team could approach several stars about potentially restructuring their contracts.
The biggest contract belongs to Jackson, but it would be believed he would jump at taking a bit of a pay cut to bring in a quality receiver like Adams. This is just speculation, but adding Adams to this Ravens team would make them even more dangerous.
Nothing has been made official yet, but Adams appears to be hinting or has straight out revealed where he is set to play in the next couple of weeks.
