The New Orleans Saints will have to finish off their Week 2 matchup with the Dallas Cowboys without star Taysom Hill. Hill suffered a chest injury against Dallas and his return is considered to be doubtful.
The Saints were amid a blowout win over the Cowboys when Hill got hurt. The hope is that this injury isn’t too serious for Hill and he can return sooner rather than later.
Hill has been instrumental to the Saints over the years and has become a fan favorite in New Orleans. His ability to be multi-functional for the Saints has helped turn him into the ultimate offensive weapon.

Before leaving the game, Hill rushed the ball three times for 18 yards. He also caught one pass for one yard. It wasn’t the most productive game for Hill but the threat of him on offense allows the Saints attack to flourish.
Last week against the Carolina Panthers rushed five times for 35 yards. He helped New Orleans grab a big season-opening win over a divisional opponent.

If Hill does have to miss any time, it could be detrimental to the Saints’ offense. Not only is he used as an offensive weapon but the Saints also use him as a quarterback at different times.
He had back-to-back 900-yard plus seasons in 2021 and 2022 through the air, helping to turn him into this dynamic player. New Orleans relies on him to be a threat for defenses to have to scheme against.
His doubtful status could be a precautionary measure by New Orleans, especially with them leading by so much. The last thing that the Saints want is for Hill to re-injury something or make things worse to have it linger throughout the season.
It’s been a great start to the year for the Saints and they will look to continue their winning ways next week against the Philadelphia Eagles at home. Not many expected the Saints to start the year this well so New Orleans could end up being one of the surprise teams in the NFL if they can keep this up.
New Orleans will hope for some good news on Hill and we should know more in the coming days.
