Far-right activist and Trump supporter Laura Loomer has publicly attacked Republican Georgia Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene, accusing her of gross negligence in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene.
The storm, which left at least 15 people dead in Georgia, led Loomer to criticize Greene for attending a college football game in Alabama with former President Donald Trump on Saturday night instead of aiding her constituents.
“Instead of being in Georgia to help the people of her state, MTG blew them off and decided to go to the football game in Alabama yesterday instead,” Loomer wrote on X, formerly Twitter. “It speaks volumes to her lack of focus as a Congresswoman and shows she is more interested in fanfare than helping people in her state. Gross negligence from a woman who is unfit to serve.”

Loomer’s latest attack is part of an ongoing feud between the two. Earlier this month, Greene condemned Loomer for making racist remarks about Vice President Kamala Harris that further strained relations between the two Trump supporters. Known for her inflammatory statements, Loomer previously vowed to “expose” Greene, and her recent criticism has escalated the conflict.
Greene has yet to publicly respond to Loomer’s accusations. However, she has commented on their strained relationship, saying, “I used to be friends with Loomer, but she turned on me and began attacking me after I didn’t endorse her in a Florida House race. She’s lied so much about me and others like [Florida Representative] Matt Gaetz, even though we are President Trump’s most loyal and fierce elected members of Congress.”
Loomer’s relationship with Trump has also caused friction within his inner circle. In April 2023, The New York Times reported that some of Trump’s allies were upset when he considered hiring Loomer.
Despite this, Trump has refrained from publicly commenting on the feud between his supporters. While Greene faces criticism from some within the MAGA movement, Loomer remains a regular attendee at Trump rallies and events.
Trump has consistently spoken positively of Laura Loomer, referring to her as “a free spirit.” After attending two 9/11 memorial events with Loomer, Trump responded to Republican criticism by saying, “Laura has been a supporter of mine… She speaks very positively of the campaign… Laura has to say what she wants. She’s a free spirit.”
Earlier, Trump praised Loomer during a July speech in Nashville, calling her “the great Laura Loomer,” and in March, he described her as “a woman with courage” at his Mar-a-Lago resort.
