50 Cent may be everywhere these days — from music, to television, to liquor brands. But one place you won’t catch the rapper and entrepreneur is at a Trump rally.

In an interview with The Breakfast Club on Tuesday, October 29, the “21 Questions” hitmaker revealed he was offered a pretty penny to perform at U.S. presidential candidate Donald Trump’s rally at Madison Square Garden this past Sunday, October 27. 50, however, declined.

During the chat, 50, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, shared how the conversation went down, and revealed why he opted to avoid performing at the hate-fueled rally.

“I got a call,” he said. “But they wanted me [for] Sunday.”

He continued, saying Trump’s team “offered $3 million.” However, the conversation “didn’t go far” as 50 did not want to get involved in the political landscape.

“I’m afraid about politics,” 50 said, which prompted laughter from the show’s hosts. “You understand? I do not like no part about them.”

He continued, explaining why. “It’s because when you do get involved in it, no matter how you feel, someone passionately disagrees with you. That’s the formula for the confusion that sent Kanye to Japan. [Kanye] said something … and now he can only go to Japan.”

Though the “In Da Club” rapper has not outwardly endorsed a presidential candidate for the 2024 election, he expressed support for Trump following the assassination attempt back in July by posting a photo of Trump’s face on the cover of 50’s 2003 album Get Rich or Die Tryin’ In October 2020, the artist endorsed Trump for that year’s election, however, reversed his endorsement shortly after.

50 Cent is currently working on a Netflix docuseries examining disgraced producer and rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs and his alleged sex crimes. He has said proceeds from the series will go to survivors of the reported crimes.
