Following Taylor Swift’s endorsement of Kamala Harris for president after the debate on Tuesday, September 10, Megyn Kelly launched a scathing critique of the singer.
The commentator warned Swift of potential backlash from her Republican fans on her SiriusXM talk show the following day on Wednesday, September 11.
Kelly, 53, dismissed Swift’s political support, asserting that the 14-time Grammy winner’s sales among conservative audiences would suffer. “You can kiss your sales to the Republican audience goodbye, Taylor,” Kelly declared, accusing Swift, 34, of not caring about the implications of her political stance.

Kelly continued by saying she’s “allowed to criticize Taylor Swift,” and that she doesn’t “give a s**t who gets upset.” She then called the situation “disgusting” before saying, “If she wants to vote Harris-Walz, she can do it all she wants but to say the reason she is doing it is because of Tim Walz‘s stance on LGBTQ… F**k you, Taylor Swift.”
Fans were quick to comment on the video of Kelly’s rant, which was shared to Youtube. “Who cares who Taylor Swift endorses,?” asked one fan. “One person you never want to piss off is Megyn Kelly! We’ve been known this!” another said.
Swift’s endorsement came shortly after the first presidential debate between Trump and Harris. She expressed admiration for Harris and her running mate, Tim Walz, highlighting their advocacy for LGBTQ+ rights, IVF, and women’s rights in her Instagram endorsement. Kelly criticized Swift’s statement, claiming it showed disregard for controversial issues related to LGBTQ+ rights and accusing Swift and her partner, Travis Kelce, of being out of touch with ordinary people.
In her endorsement, Swift described Harris as a “steady-handed, gifted leader” and expressed her belief that Harris would bring calm and effective leadership to the country. She also touched on the concerns regarding the AI endorsement for Trump that was shared on his website, saying, “It brought me to the conclusion that I need to be very transparent about my actual plans for this election as a voter.”
