Woman Goes To Buy Anniversary Card for Husband—Unprepared for Who She Meets
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

A woman has gone viral after she tried to sneak in a trip to the card store to buy an anniversary card, only to discover that her husband had the exact same idea.

Morgan Horowitz, 33, shared a hilarious video on TikTok (@morganhoro) showing the moment she wandered into a CVS store to buy an anniversary card for her husband, Jordan Horowitz, also 33. However, as she searched for the perfect card, she spotted a familiar face in the aisle, and as it turned out, her husband had the same plan.

Morgan Horowitz, of Long Island, New York, couldn’t believe the sheer coincidence that they both left it until the last minute and went to the same store the day before their anniversary on September 12. She told Newsweek via email that as soon as they clocked each other, they “both started cracking up” in the middle of the store. Great minds think alike, after all.

“I walked into CVS and saw him way down the aisle, so I took out my phone and started filming,” Morgan Horowitz said. “When I called Jordan’s name, he was clearly surprised to see me. It was very funny and very us to get cards the day before our anniversary.”

After sharing footage of the unexpected encounter on TikTok, social media users couldn’t get enough of their hilarious reactions to each other. The clip went viral, and in just a number of days, it’s already gained more than 14.1 million views and over 2.2 million likes so far.

Of course, the couple still wanted to leave something to the imagination, so they made sure not to take a peek at each other’s card selections in the store. They also checked out separately so it would be a surprise when they opened their cards the next day.

As they live in an apartment building, Morgan Horowitz said it “wasn’t obvious” that either of them had left their home at the time. She thought she could be really subtle about it and her husband would never know it was so last minute. Well, that’s what she hoped would happen anyway.

Instead, they certainly got a good laugh about their identical ideas and it made for an amusing video to share on their fourth wedding anniversary.

“Since posting the video online, the reaction has been very positive,” she told Newsweek. “Obviously, some people think it was set up, but it wasn’t. I truly can’t believe how many people loved this video, it really was so genuine and hilarious.”

Since the clip went viral, it’s already gained more than 2,600 comments on TikTok as social media users lauded the married couple for being so alike.

One comment reads: “I believe in a thing called love.”

Another TikTok user wrote: “You two are definitely on the same page.”

“It’s giving soulmate energy,” added a third commenter.

A fourth person joked: “Just hand the cards to each other right there, then put them back and save your money.”
