A book that was claimed to have been written by Diddy‘s late ex Kim Porter has been removed for sale from Amazon.
Porter, who died in 2018, was rumored to have worked on a tell-all book about her time with Sean “Diddy” Combs — whom she dated on-and-off from 1994 to 2007 — before her untimely passing, which was reported as a result of lobar pneumonia. The book was titled Kim’s Lost Words: A journey for justice, from the other side, riddled with typos, and contained serious allegations of abuse and sexual assault by the disgraced rapper and producer.

Since the book’s initial sale, Porter’s and Diddy’s children — Christian, 26, and Jessie and D’Lila, 17-year-old twins, as well as Quincy Brown, Porter’s son with Al B Sure! — posted a statement on Instagram, denouncing the book.
“Claims that our mom wrote a book are simply untrue,” they wrote. “She did not, and anyone claiming to have a manuscript is misrepresenting themselves. Additionally, please understand that any so-called ‘friend’ speaking on behalf of our mom or her family is not a friend. Nor do they have her best interests at heart.”
Amazon has since removed the book from its site — but not before it became a best-seller on the online retailer.
“We were made aware of a dispute regarding this title and have notified the publisher,” an Amazon spokesperson said in a statement to Washington Post. “The book is not currently available for sale in our store.”
The book was published Todd Christopher Guzze — the author, who goes by Chris Todd — under the pseudonym Jamal T. Millwood. Guzze claimed that the book was drawn from writings he received on a flash drive, which Porter was said have been working on before her death, however, told Rolling Stone he was unable to verify if this was true.
“If somebody put my feet to the fire and they said, ‘Life or death, is that book real?’ I have to say I don’t know,” said Guzze. “But it’s real enough to me.”
Diddy is currently sitting in a Brooklyn jail awaiting trial on charges of racketeering, sexual assault, and traveling to engage in prostitution. At the time of writing, a date for a trial has not been set.
