New video footage posted to X (formerly Twitter) shows Donald Trump reacting to Kamala Harris‘ speech at the Democratic National Convention.
Trump and Harris are just days away from facing off in the hotly contested presidential race, viewed as a toss-up by most major forecasters as polls show only slim margins separating the two in key battleground states. Trump’s and Harris’ campaigning has been harsh at times during the race, with each of them making attacks in an attempt to cast the other as unfit for the Oval Office.
Now, a new documentary miniseries, Art of the Surge: The Donald Trump Comeback, shows the former president watching Harris’ speech at the convention in August. The vice president’s speech came after a chaotic summer for Democrats. Just weeks earlier, she had emerged as the likely nominee after President Joe Biden withdrew from the race following weeks of pressure from Democrats concerned about his ability to win in November after a poor debate performance against Trump.
The X video, posted on Tuesday at 11 a.m., has been viewed at least 6.6 million times.

Newsweek reached out via email to the Trump and Harris campaigns for comment.
On the final night of the convention, Trump, surrounded by his advisers, criticized Harris’ speech in conversations with his staff, who posted his reaction to his social media platform Truth Social.
Trump said Harris said “too many thank-yous” at the start of her speech—a dig that would appear in a Truth Social post that read, “Too many ‘Thank yous,’ too rapidly said, what’s going on with her. A lot of talk about childhood, we’ve got to get to the border, inflation or crime.”
He also asked his staff how many people had watched Harris’ speech. The New York Times later reported that about 29 million people saw her address. Meanwhile, his advisers said that Harris did not go into more detail about her policies in the speech.
“Send this out,” Trump said before asking a staffer to do a post that reads, “Why didn’t she do something about the thing of which she complains?” He later asked if Harris had mentioned fracking, a sticking point for some voters in the swing state of Pennsylvania.
Among the other politicians in the room were Representative Matt Gaetz, a Florida Republican, and former Representative Tulsi Gabbard, a former Democrat who represented Hawaii but has since endorsed Trump and changed her party affiliation.
Trump also discussed the debate, then weeks away, with his advisers.
“Debates are tricky. You might not be in the right mood. You have fake anchors on ABC, among the worst,” Trump said.
